I must say, I've started using Microsoft's OneNote to keep track of things at work and home. It's really a cool program. You can basically type anywhere, create linked pages under group headings, add pictures, links, Outlook Tasks.... basically anything you want to put in there you can. Anything... books you've read, people you hate, people you like, places you want to go, beers, candy, movies you've seen or want to see, deep thoughts, work tasks, lists of things that scare you... you get the picture. I've been tracking my progress on a major code rewrite I've been working on, and it's really catching all the details that would normally fall through the cracks. Now I'll be able to look back when I'm done and report on all the little stuff I did. Very Cool. I used to use MindJet MindManager. It was good, but it always felt forced. OneNote doesn't feel forced. I think its due to the "type anywhere" approach.
